Storm Renewables Ltd (trading as SocketPower, "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through socketpower.co.uk. We are registered in Scotland under company number SC802881.

What we collect

• Order details (name, delivery address, billing address, email, phone).
• Payment information (handled by our payment processor; we never see card numbers).
• G98 application data (MPAN, inverter model, serial number, installation address).
• Email signups for our mailing list, with timestamped consent.
• Anonymous analytics (page views, device type) — see our Cookies policy.

What we do with it

We use your data only to fulfil orders, file G98 notifications on your behalf, provide customer support, and (with your consent) send you product updates. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Who we share it with

• Your local Distribution Network Operator (G98 filing only).
• Our payment processor (order processing only).
• Our delivery partner (shipping address only).
• UK tax authorities where legally required.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records: 7 years (HMRC requirement). G98 application data: indefinitely, in case a DNO needs to verify the original filing. Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to processing. Email privacy@socketpower.co.uk to exercise any of these.

Complaints can also be made to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
